The basic idea of Emo fashion is hard to grasp!!

When defining Emo the first things that comes to our mind is that it is a state of mind and distinct lifestyle choice, which involves one or more of the following dimensions of life in varying degrees and proportions. Therefore Emo could not be rightly defined in single but different statements.

1. Emo is a genre of music the lyrics clearly describes the suffering character dilution that is harder to define.

2. Emo can be defined as a form of identity that influences one's geopolitical views and belief system.

3. Emo presently has become popular as a fashion statement.

4. The word Emo could be related to those "kids" those are characteristically "hetero-flexible", "bi-sexual" and sexually open to experimentation.

At present this new subculture ‘Emo’ is packed with teenagers following weird range of fashion styles, and attitudes somewhat connected with Emo music and its related scene in the mid-1980s Washington, DC music scene and the term ‘Emo’ is used as an adjective to describe the general state of unhappiness or melancholy. The basic idea of Emo fashion is really very hard to grasp! Depression is sweeping teens and their responses and activities are now being aspired by some. An entire subculture of Emo consists of people mainly teens with a fake personality. The concept of Emo is actually a malicious cycle that never ends, to the utter failing of humanity. The dark mood of Emo subculture is reflected in a lot of the top designer ads for those who use the grayed out tones for their fashion shoots, only highlighting the product in color just to maximize product impact targeting Emo subculture. It is true that each new generation brings with it the promise of change and improvement. But it is really intolerable and shocking to see the present day youth personifying image of rebel and disrespect towards life, which is completely different from earlier scene where a teenager took his or her parent's words for fact and truth. Surprisingly the scene today is completely reverse where parents are not cared and the teenagers with their rebellious ideas live the life of their own. They do not have any respect for their elders and their tradition.

Even the taste of fashion also has changed that makes them appear no more romantic. They look strange in their tight jeans, short tight tops with negative comments printed on it, haired dyed with different colors, body piercing and tattooing which commonly followed by both male and female. Though there are other extras that are followed by emo female, like applying nail polish of depressive colors, applying thick eye liner and many more. These fashion trend although may seem strange but it is a way of expression of this era and emo subculture.
